Porsche is set to unveil the 911 GT3 R rennsporT AT the Porsche Rennsport Reunion Event – Laguna Seca.
One of the largest gatherings of Porsche cars and enthusiasts, the Rennsport Reunion 7, scheduled from September 28th to October 1st, is expected to draw more than 80,000 visitors to witness this spectacular vehicle.
The latest 992 generation of the 911 GT3 R serves as the foundation for this high-performance racing car. With a power output of 456 kW (620 PS), it exceeds the standard motorsport regulations, showcasing a unique blend of cutting-edge design and technical ingenuity.

Limited to just 77 units, the 911 GT3 R rennsport stands out with its uniquely designed body, combining modern design elements and pays tribute to Porsche’s motorsport heritage while maintaining performance factors like air resistance and aerodynamic downforce.
Designed by Grant Larson and Thorsten Klein, the car features extensive body modifications, including aerodynamic enhancements, side fins, and digital exterior cameras. The rear end boasts a massive wing inspired by the legendary Brumos Porsche 935/77, and the design reflects in the downforce numbers.Inside, the 911 GT3 R rennsport maintains a minimalist racing aesthetic with a rigid roll cage, and it’s a single-seater racing car, like its GT3 R counterpart. It also sports striking 18-inch BBS wheel rims in an exclusive “racing” design, painted in Dark Silver Metallic.
The car’s racing engine is a 4.2-liter six-cylinder boxer, producing up to 456 kW (620 PS) and benefiting from fewer restrictions compared to the standard GT3 R. It can run on various fuels, including regeneratively produced e-fuels.
The chassis remains similar to the GT3 racing car, and exclusive Michelin racing tires offer improved warm-up and drivability. The car also features an aluminum monobloc racing brake system, a new safety tank, and other weight-saving measures.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport promises to be a powerful and visually striking addition to the Porsche family, a collector’s item for racing enthusiasts and collectors alike, delivering a unique driving experience on the track.
Also expected at the event is the public debut of the Porsche Mission X concept. A new take on a lightweight hypercar that focuses on reinventing the standards of how Porsche looks at the design future of its vehicles.

The lightweight design is inspired by architectural structures and features LeMans-style doors with integrated side windows. An adaptable wing and tuned underbody, provide maximum downforce with a finishing dubbed “Rocket Metallic”, this wouldn’t look out of place in any latest sci-fi blockbuster.
